Adult “Beginning Handbuilding”

Unleash your creativity in this hand-building ceramic class. Over the course of four weeks, you will acquire a solid foundation in hand-building. You’ll explore techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab construction, and in the last class, we’ll delve into the art of glazing, allowing you to add the finishing touch to all your creations.

Hand building is a liberating and meditative process that will enable you to craft an array of objects, including cups, vases, bowls, planters, and small sculptures. This class caters to everyone, from those with no prior clay experience to seasoned wheel throwers looking to diversify their skills. Intermediate students can also benefit from this course as a way to refresh their abilities.

Join us and discover the joy of hand-building with clay in a supportive and creative environment!
